And the plugs on the left are so tacky. I'm sorry for being so contradictory, but I hate this new setup so much, I just had to comment.
Please go back to the old editing style. Your guy's windows are each almost as large as the original video. It makes it way harder to watch.

To answer the question about why Percy has the dark smoke gun and this is entirely spoiler free. In the world of Exandria Percy is the inventor of the first gun. Things like explosive powder exists but is largely niche in its uses.
For all intents and purposes the shadow gun is the only gun.
I dont know if you guys have reacted to this individually or watched it already but this show reminds me alot of Castlevania on Netflix. As far as animation, voice acting quality, and gripping plot and action. I'd love to see a reaction to that series. It's like 4 or 5 seasons if Im remembering correctly.

It's called Baldur's Gate 3 and it's incredible.
It's also called Dungeons and Dragons but you knew that.
When Ruff pointed out that Percy could die and the rest of the party could have to continue the quest in his name it made me think of the campaign I'm currently playing in. The entire reason my character formed the party was because another player was a runaway slave looking for his sister who had been sold to another slaver. Except nineteen sessions in that character died a horrible death (at the same time as another party member). So my character decided her life's purpose was to find and save that man's sister.
Except the player came back AS HIS SISTER. As a cleric who was brainwashed to work for an evil organization, her memories of her family erased. I have never felt so hollow than trying to explain to her that her brother was dead only for her to say she had no family and ugh
D&D's fucking great. But sometimes you've played nineteen four-hour sessions, spent seventy six hours getting to know these characters, fighting alongside then, laughing and crying together, and all it takes is *one turn* for two to die terrible, heart wrenching deaths. We're nearing session 50 now and everyone at the table still gets emotional sometimes talking about those two and how they inspired us and our characters. I can't believe they're not even real people lmao
You should react to the critical role campaign 1 clip of Vax, Scanlan, and Percy vs. The door. It was a literal comedy of errors.
From Azula to Delilah Briarwood, Grey voices some very unsettling female antagonists and you can't help but love it

Idk if anyone told y'all but critical role's second campaign is going to be animated at some point too, it's my personal favorite. It's a definitive thing that I think they're straight up making rn but with the strike who really knows. Same people with different characters mainly set on a different continent in the world they're in (the words called exandria and literally all of it is from Matt mercer's brain) . and from the way that they talk about it, it seems like the third and current campaign they're through will inevitably become a show too.

in game Matt Mercer slowly describing each hanging person on the tree was absolutely horrifying, especially because they used kids for the smaller characters

Then look no further then Baldurs Gate 3. I have been playing it for like the last 50 hours and I can't put into words how closely it resembles the feel of an actual DnD campaign.
I came to the comments to say the exact same thing. It's so exciting to have a game out that really captures the feel of dnd.
So in last Vox Machina's reaction someone commented that Marisha Ray based her character Keyleth on a lot of aspects of the Avatar so here is some other cool details regarding that.
So in DnD there is a class called the Monk class that specialize in unarmed combat by utilizing spiritual energy called 'Ki' in their body. The Monk have a subclass Way of the Four Elements that is literally the Avatar. You use Ki to control the 4 elements. And Marisha's character in Campaign 2 is actually a Monk (tho she uses a homebrew subclass rather than the Way of the 4 elements). While Keyleth journey mirrors that of Aang with her overcoming self doubt and discovering herself, that of Beau, the Monk, mirrors that of Korra, being brash and learning to be more level headed.
P.S to the DnD newbies if you guys think the Monk class is cool and want to play it in your first Campaign, Dont. It sucks. Especially the Way of the Four Elements.
Too late for that advice, been doing way of the 4 elements Monk in a campaign for roughly 2 and a half years... was told to avoid that and beastmaster ranger which is exactly what I'm playing in a second campaign.
The main thing is to have fun, to new players I'd say if ya see a class and subclass that you like the look of and want to try do it, what's the worst that can happen.
I was an Air Genasi Way of the 4 Elements Monk in my 3rd campaign and I thought she was great! I didn't have to keep track of a lot of spells and she always did well with punching and acrobatics. I wasn't as strong than when my DM had a one shot monk and was using Ki points like candy and I was like.... wait wut? But for how I played, I was able to have a great time!

to add to the Monk class for newbies try out way of the open hand, with it you can at high level spend 3 ki point to basically stop some ones heart at anytime you feel like. ofc this is a level 17 ability and D&D campaigns rarely go that high. or you could try Way of the Sun Soul and become Goku... you are still a monk tho (not to say monks are "bad" at level 15 they straight up stop aging and dont need food or water to live.... they still die of old age however... dont ask how that works)

I think they’re probably a little more complicated than other classes to build if you’ve never played, but they’re really fun if you know how to use them effectively
It's not that I don't like them, I think they are pretty cool (my second every character was a homebrew Monk). It's just that from a gameplay perspective Monk are very underwelming. The DnD fandom has long complained about them being so much weaker than the other classes and that's because of how you are always low on Ki points especially in the earlier levels.
