      I swear steven makes no sense. He blames Rose for homeworld wanting to destroy the earth while forgetting that earth would have already been destroyed if she didn't start the rebellion. The other crystal gems are war criminals too so how come Rose is the only one he has issues

         Because Rose is the one who started the war in the first place. She started the rebellion and even escalated it to the point of "shattering" Pink Diamond, thus incurring the wrath of the other Diamonds. She's the reason the Diamonds have it out for Earth, and considering that the Cluster is made up of billions of shards of Gem War casualties, she's also the reason it exists. The rest of the Crystal Gems may have participated in the war, but Rose is the one who started it, and yet she's touted as an amazing hero who fought for Earth. I'm not against Rose, I'm just explaining it from Steven's point of view.

            I mean, it was either let homeworld hollow out the earth or rebel and deal with the aftermath (like the war, the cluster and the diamonds). That at least buys several thousands of years for the earth. Rose started the war but the earth was just the final straw, it's hinted that many planets that are just like the earth with sentient life were destroyed before Rose rebelled.
