The Jedi admitted either in this series or the movies that their force sense was weakened by the overwhelming power of Sidous's dark side.

I'm not 100% but I think the guy who voiced Maul (was the actor for Star Killer in Force Unleased.) Ended up taking over for Palpatine in later seasons

Rip ARC Trooper Fives - A trooper created in the image of another, given mere numbers for name, designated property, beholden to greater forces at play, and yet still found a way to form his OWN identity, build his own connections, and find his own truth. Ascended to elite status, bolstered by those he could brother and his dedication to his duty.

And in that pursuit of brotherhood and duty, he stumbled ass backwards into THE massive conspiracy behind the entire Clone War. One clone left alone to solve a mystery so far beyond his wildest imagination. The only man cunning enough to see through Palpatine's machinations and the one who came closest to stopping it.

The wheels in motion were simply too big to topple on his own, the immense pressures of the Kaminoans, Jedi, and Sith challenging, obstructing, and framing him the whole way. Ultimately at the cost of his life. But he never gave up; never stopped in pursuit of the truth; never stopped trying to save his brothers from the mysterious affliction that stripped them of their own autonomy and identity.

The truth, while largely buried, still exists for those to find it again. There is a glimmer of hope in the galaxy for the world of the clones and that is thanks to Fives and Fives alone

I'm kind of hoping you'll watch the dark forces 2 cutscenes, they're not the same quality as a lot of what you reacted too but its a fun storyline.

most clones are under 21 and therefore shouldn't be at a bar. It's irresponsible

If you remember, at the beginning of the third movie, the Jedi Council was voicing how they had growing suspicions about Palpatine so it kinda feels like this is one of those lynchpin moments of it. Then after the end of Clone Wars, Bad Batch starts which people have jokingly called "Clone Wars Season 8" XD

But these last two seasons and The Bad Batch are a good look at some of the big questions about clones and the Clone Wars that typically didn't get answered with the movies and I love it.

And you guys keep bringing up "Is this when Anakin starts going dark?" and I think since Ahsoka left and taking Ls like this and ya know, fighting a war, kind of all build into it, yeah.

Yeah, that is tim curry. He replaced the actor, while they where making Sn. 5 & 6. The actor who played him, in the show prior (Ian Abercrombie) passed away during production. So they got tim to fill in. Ian's last time voicing Palpatine is in the next 2 episodes. RIP.

To think if Fives succeeded he could have prevented the Jedi's fall. No one knows of Palpatine had a back up plan but who knows...

Fives...what a legend. Came so close to saving the Galaxy from Palpatine's rule.

Part of me wishes they would have stopped and watched all of rebels, and then finished clone wars like most of us did

So that clone Kix who was told actually ends up discovering the plot in the comics, but gets captured and frozen for 50 years before he can tell anyone

So the thing about Palpatine is that the Jedi knew he was shrouded in the Dark Side. They just believed that he was being controlled by the Sith Lord, not that he is the Sith Lord

Fives is probably my favourite clone other than rex, his story is so tragic with the ending failing to save tens of thousands of lives

In the novel, they do think that the Sith Master is someone in Palpatine’s inner circle. Even perhaps among the Red Guards. They are worried Palpatine might be under his influence. But they never imagined it was Palpatine himself, partly because he ALREADY is effectively the most powerful man in the universe.

These episodes make Order 66 so much more tragic, because you know now that it's a bunch of individuals with their own personalities being erased and brainwashed into the slaughter of their generals and friends.

I completely agree, especially with Cody since we've spent such a big chunk of the first few seasons with him :'(

Nope. Palpatine has a new voice actor. Tim Curry himself.

So Papa Palpy was voiced originally by Ian Abercrombie from S1-5. He died back in 2012, which his last ep being the one where he whooped Maul’s ass. For this season, he is voiced by the one and only TIM CURRY

I’d say the problem of Outlaws smacking helmets was that it looked like a light tap, while this show made it look like they were physically strong enough to knock out someone wearing a helmet. It’s all about the animation
