The first section with the clones where there is about 4 minutes of silence in terms of dialogue has got to be peak Star Wars. The clones are so in sync with each other (being the same person must help) is such a gnarly touch that most shows would think about.

That talk about missing the lasers shot reminds me of that interaction in mass effect the NPC's have about Newtons laws of motion. The one where they talk about check your shots because anything you miss is just going to travel forever until it hits something or someone.

if you guys ever want to watch another series in this style, check-out sym bionic titan, its only about 12 episodes but is one of the best shows to come out of 2000's cartoon network

They have got to jump straight to The Bad Batch after finishing TCW series. I dont think it would mess up any timeline stuff but correct me if I'm wrong.

Kit Fisto is best Jedi Master on the Council! He was my favorite because of the series. Also, furry wolfman Jedi was one of four character fan creations that were to be voted on by fans on the Cartoon Network website. I think the others still showed up in some capacity, but I remember voting on him, specifically!

Gret DeLisle was the voice actress for Azula from ATLA and she did the voice of both Padme and Asajj Ventress in this version of the Clone Wars. Also, I believe you guys were right that these episodes were between shows.

So fun fact this show aired before the Episode 3 movie. It served to tie the gap between movies, this volume is mainly a bunch of shorts tied together. Animated by the people who made Samurai Jack it's a very action heavy show. This show is not canon anymore but it is entertaining and I'm glad you choose to watch this first before heading to the 3d animated one. I have a feeling you are going to watch that show in release order cause doing it in chronological order is difficult especially in the early episodes. Watch it however you want, if you watch it in chronological order make sure to have a list handy cause you are going to need it throughout

All of the clones are cloned from Jango Fett, the father of Boba Fett. Of course cloning isn't always perfect so while they all have the same physical traits of Fett they probably developed differently or even excelled in specific tasks. Kind of like a nature against nurture

They don't get to it in the shows but the only way they killed durge (the tentacle man) was launching him into a star in an escape pod.

CG show is an anthology, bounces between characters and time frames. As some have stated already there are watch lists that give you the chronological order of episodes to make the story more streamlined and less disjointed. Thank you for picking up The Clone Wars, looking forward to it!

Number one thing to do is do the 2008 series in chronological order (it's easy to find online and iirc star wars offical site even posted it)

Boom was right. That actually was Azula’s voice actress Grey DeLisle…. I think the one that he looked up after was the one who voiced Padme in the 3D Clone Wars series

Oooooo!! I glad you guys started with this one I love this guy's art style. If you guys like the art style you honestly should watch Samurai Jack, Sym-bionic Titan, or Unicorn: Warriors Eternal. They all have the same art style and they're so good!!

Grevious wasn't supposed to be this badass. Originally he was meant more distraction fir war effort than this powerful, but they gave a fast multi armed robot weilding swords to Gendy Tarakovsky, the same person who made Samurai Jack. There was no way they weren't going to make something this bad ass.

The Jedi that looks like Shaggy is actually legitimately named Sha'a Gi, its a legit scooby doo reference

im so glad you started with this. there are a few characters that get there intro here that i feel loose a little of the punch when brought back to 3d clone wars without there context.

There WAS a Star Wars fighting game on the playstation. It was called Masters Of Teras Kasi (1997). It was kinda janky, tbh. But I still enjoyed it and got many hours of game play out of it. You could play as Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, Arden Lyn, Boba Fett, Hoar(a Tusken Raider), and Thok (a Gamorrean guard). But you could unlock Darth Vader, a Stormtrooper, Mara Jade, Jodo Kast, and a bikini-clad Leia from ROTJ

Great example of Lucas' attitude when it came to stuff not directly made by him, it was canon UNLESS or UNTIL he decided to contradict it. For example HERE R4D4 was killed by ventress. This show came out in the lead up to Revenge of The Sith, however R4 was seen alive in Revenge of The Sith until he was killed by Buzz Droids. So this canon show was retconned maybe months after it came out. And thus was the eternal state of flux that old canon was before Disney bought it. Character deaths, battles, the names of planets, even the backstories of major characters like Boba Fett have been established by extended universe books, games, or comics only to be wiped away by Lucas.

I kinda wish they didn't watch this before the 3D show, because it's not cannon, characters do things out of character, and they do things in this with the force that they don't do in the 3D show because they aren't supposed to be able to, I worry they are gonna go into the 3D show with expectations of absurd force things like what's in this, and then be disappointed when characters aren't doing it, because they were never supposed to be able to do it, this 2003 show went rule of cool and ignored lore

What's great about this series is that it was done by the same guy behind Samurai Jack and Dexter's Lab, the legendary Genndy Tartakovsky who also did Hotel Transylvania, Primal, and Unicorn: Warriors Eternal.

Idk if they say it in this video, but have they confirmed if they're gonna react to the 2008 Clone Wars in chronological order? Really hope they do otherwise its gonna be a mess to remember plotlines that get brought up like 2 or more seasons later after their starting episodes.

Obi-wan is voiced by James Arnold Taylor, who we'll continue to see as his go-to voice actor, he can do spot on impressions of both Alec Guinness and Ewan McGregor, and his obi-wan voice is a mix of both

It was barely canon when it came out, everything that wasn't directly made by Lucas was (at most) canon until contradicted by him. So the only untouchably canon stuff were the movies and Clone Wars 2008

Sorta Stupid watches the first 2 Star Wars trilogies, then put up a vote to see which series they’re react to next that includes Star Wars, then Star Wars wins the vote. As a wise man once said, "I love Democracy"
