   If they ever do decide to drop SpongeBob, I think it would be a nice send off to end at the 2nd movie- SpongeBob out of water

   Plankton roasting that family has kinda become memetic.

   They really ramp up the gross out in the later seasons. The first episode of season 6 has an infamous scene involving Squidward and a toenail. I'll just leave it at that.

   I really didn't like how SpongeBob's friends treated him like complete shit, knowing that they and the entire universe still depends him to function. Even their apologies sounded half-assed. They only wanted him back so he could continue doing things for them. They want the good without the bad.

   A lot of the problems many people had with these later episodes is that each character basically got reduced to having one overly exaggerated trait. For instance, SpongeBob's well-meaning , but misguided nature has turned into blatant idiocy. He's now frustrating and annoying. Same goes for the other characters as well. Patrick is dumb, Squidward is irritable, Mr. Krabs is greedy, Sandy is smart.

      Plankton arguably doesn’t suffer from this nearly as bad, because he was already on the one track mind of being evil and wanting the secret formula.

   Fun Fact: 20,000 Patties under the Sea was actually based on an idea of a SpongeBob episode they had in the pitch bible era!
