   Dammit all, I avoided this trend until now. But, I ordered one. They're actually cheaper now unless you want a specific series. The manufacturer (POP MART) has a verified TikTok shop and they're selling them for $28 plus shipping right now.

   Honestly I don't get this whole craze, it's like adult beanie babies or bratz dolls or whatever, but like, it's clearly not targeted at me, so I'm not too bothered, if people want to spend like a hundred bucks on real life gacha then I say let em go for it. *shurg* doesn't worsen my life any.    I'm not into Labubus, but having gotten into Pokemon card collecting because of the TCG Pocket app, all that stuff is pretty accurate to Pokemon cards too. People literally line up to buy out all the normal retail stores as soon as they restock, and local card shops have their prices marked up as shit. You can try to catch a drop online for MSRP, but usually, everything gets bought out immediately by scalpers using bots.

       I'm thinking they might be more like Pokémon cards. Considering keeping a couple of unopened blind boxes. Just in case. Unopened Pokémon card booster packs go for BANK these days. And they were just a dollar or two when I was a kid.

    So the creator of the Labubus was inspired by Nordic Mythology as the designs. The Chinese pop culture store that was selling them made them real popular and it spiraled to what it is now.
