   This is more of a alternate story/sequel. It helps if youve read the original because this is meant to flesh out Ramona and her exes, because their past were deliberately left vague. Ramona was always as bad of a partner as Scott, so the creator wanted to focus on that.

   IMO, this just strengthens the original story for me with all this background info

   The soundtrack to the show is by Amanaguchi, the band that scored the game. One of my favorite game OSTs of all time

   As a fan of Scott Pilgrim. I will not lie, I was disappointed that the anime did not follow the actual story of the comics/movie.

   However, I still loved the anime itself. So, I was overall happy with the series itself. I liked the references and the jokes from the movies as well as the twists it throws at us. I’d definitely recommend it to Scott Pilgrim fans.

   And who knows, if it does well enough. Maybe we will get an anime adaptation of the actual story from the comics in the future.

      I find it exciting that we get something new. Plenty of the amazing shots you’d like to see animated are here anyway. This is better than I expected.

   If I remember correctly I think I read that Mae Whitman, Katara’s VA, first more mature role was the Scott Pilgrim movie.

   Since I know you all finished the series already, I do like how they kept the audience from realizing they were making a completely new story by having the opening and the thumbnail look like it’d follow the comic/movie story.

   Also I realized why they called the show Scott Pilgrim Takes Off…the series is basically like Scott Pilgrim just takes time off as the MC which leads to the other characters taking over and doing things without him around. ?

   So the fact that one of the guys is that actually familiar at all with Scott program just makes all the better. I binged this hard today, and was cackling constantly. And they suspect I’ll be doing the same while watching these reactions as well. Glorious.

      I know, I was so worried they’d react to the series first without any knowledge of the actual story from the comics or movie. There’s so many jokes and references from the main story in the anime that they might not catch if they hadn’t read or watched the original story.

      I’m so happy that Ruff and Boom have though. And they’re going to react to the movie in the future which will also be fun. ^^
