Not sure if anyone mentioned, but all the characters are based off of different fairytales, mythological people, or real people (and sometimes something random), and some characters are not. Like Ruby - red riding hood, Yang - goldilocks/beast, Blake - Belle, Weiss - Snow white, Jaune - gender bent Joan of Arc, Ren - Gender bent Mulan, Nora - gender bent Thor, Pyrrha - gender bent Achilles. Sun is also actually based off of Sun Wukong. Roman - Romeo Candlewick. Hope to see your reactions to Volume 1 soundtrack and when you start Volume 2, hope you guys find a way to see the opening at the end of the first episode (all volumes are like that, they will show the opening at the end of the first episode to ensure they don't spoil any characters for the volume). Also the intro's don't ever spoil any potential plot points, you can certainly try to guess why they're showing what they're showing, but that's the extent.

That's awesome Idk if I am right or not but the voice cast (I missed the name of the guy that fought with the cool polearm gun) his character name is Sun Wukon which fits perfectly ?

I really hope you guys plan on reacting to the soundtrack for each volume. They are really good at giving extra character info and the music is just awesome anyway.

Remember, you do not want to skip the intro going forward, its good at not spoiling, but it also sets thge mood beautifully for the volume, i recommend watching the first episode of each volume then the intro then the rest.

So glad you guys are enjoying the show so far. I hope you guys will continue on this journey of a fantastic story Monty has laid out to be told. This show means so much to me and so many others. Now I’m not one of those fans who are like “omg it’s perfect in every single way and if you don’t see what I see how dare you.” I do see flaws here and there but let’s be honest no show or movie is perfect in every single way and that’s perfectly fine. What matters the most is what the show creators intend for the story and the world they lay out to introduce and share with everyone. That’s exactly what Monty intended I believe and what his friends continue to do even after he passed. Can’t wait for next week or so for Volume 2. First episode kicks of with a bang, or I should say a Yang. Lol sorry couldn’t resist.

Please please please, react to Volume 1's soundtrack! It's not quite necessary, but it does help one get into the mindsets of the characters they're about or from the pov of!

Came back to recommend a decent YouTube playlist for Volume 1's soundtrack! If you look up "rwby volume 1 soundtrack lyrics" you'll find a playlist from ImaGorgeous Geek with all 9 songs with accurate lyrics and great fanart. (obviously don't read the comments as they do spoil things in other volumes)

Came back again in case y'all have already watched volume 2, the best YouTube playlist for that soundtrack is from "Lee" after searching "rwby volume 2 soundtrack lyrics" with more lovely fanart and accurate lyrics!

It’s really amazing to think of how young Casey Lee Williams was when she first began singing the songs for the series! I can’t recall how young she was though

You never forget the first time you see a Sun Wukong with gunchucks! ?
Heads up if you haven't already finished Volume 2, but there's an after credits scene on that one too. Not all of them have end credit scenes, but a few of them do, and a few are important, but I honestly cannot remember which volumes have them after these two, so proceed with caution.

Glad you guys watched the intro after finishing up volume 1. I honestly think that’s the best way to do it so you won’t spoil yourself. The intros are some of the best parts of the RWBY series. Can’t wait for Volume 2!
