When you think about it, the whole Schnee family are examples of different ways people react to Jaques's abuse. There are 4 basic ways people respond to abuse/trauma; Fight, Flight, Freeze, and Fawn. Winter was Flight, she left as soon as she was able, joining the military. Weiss is Fight. And Whitely is Fawn, because he didn't really have any option other than to try and keep Jaques happy, to stay on his good side. Their mom is Freeze, but saying more would be spoilers.

My favorite detail about the Qrow vs Tyrian fight is something I didn't learn until years later. Tyrian is a scorpian faunus and scorpions have horrible eyesight so they rely on sound. Tyrian only moves when he hears something so when Qrow stopped using a heavy mechanical weapon Tyrian couldn't hear his movements nor see the punches coming. It's why he just sat there on the ground while Qrow casually grabbed his scythe but as soon as Qrow made noise when he grabbed it, Tyrian attacked. It's so cool and is literally never explained in the series. One of the reasosn this arc is one of the best in my opinion cause we get those sweet details and it's also the first taste of the real world

A bit late, but also how he reacts to Jaune, as we don't find out until later, but their semblances are opposites of each other, which is why Jaune interests him

So that's what this was about. I thought they just scrapped whatever this was setting up for. Because yeah it was very clear that Tyrian was only able to fight Qrow when he had his weapon, I thought that maybe his semblance has something to do with the weapons of his opponents. So nice to hear that this was actually serving a purpose and wasn't yet another case of RWBY writers stopped giving a damn

This episode made Weiss and Ironwood my two favorite characters in RWBY, I love Weiss's character development this season, and I love seeing Ironwood in the aftermath of the Battle of Beacon.

You guys should check out the “World of Remnant” videos by RoosterTeeth they give more context to the world of RWBY such as where the kingdoms are situated and what dust is and a general history of the world. Nothing will be spoiled in watching them and I believe they were released by RoosterTeeth before Season 4 was if memory serves.

The scene with Weiss at the charity gala is one of my favorites. It shows how much she’s developed as a character, refusing Jacques to get a servant to get her a drink, getting upset at the blue haired guy and the trophy wife who doesn’t see how important the fundraising is for vale is and diminishing what the people at beacon went through. The Weiss here and the version of her at the beginning of volume 1 are two different people

AT LAST! "Bad Luck Charm" is my favorite RWBY song of all time! I really recommend listening to it so you can hear the lyrics!

Qrow vs Tyrian battle is one I will happily watch on repeat. It is just chef's kiss! ?

Despite Whitley Schnee being a little shit, I’m kinda glad he at least didn’t seem to have any sort of master plan to get what he wanted. He’s an ass, but not a saboteur like I assumed he was gonna be at first.

I personally only likes voluems 1, 2, 3 and 7 - and that last one requires forgetting a couple scenes existed, Every other season of RWBY is unwatchable for me. There's singular good episodes like this one, and v6c3 but yeah I went from a super fan to "why"

The only volumes I sometimes think are a tiny, tiny bit slow for me personally is Volume 5 or 8 but other than that I love this whole show and it's other volumes just the same. Some AMAZING moments are ahead and I can't wait to see their reactions.

I'm tellin you guys, you gotta watch the soundtracksfor each season after their respective season. Even off camera (if need be), it brings so much insight into the characters it covers.
