I never paid attention to the actual locations before, so the implication that they drove from Perfection in Nevada, to this oil field that they establish at the beginning is in Chiapas (SE Mexico, bordering Guatemala), is actually insane. I just assumed it was a field in NW Mexico, like Sonora or something, right across the border.
Fun fact:Kate's actress is the voice of little foots mom from land before time and the actor in the beginning of the movie who got ate also was in jurassic Park the lost world
