To answer your question about whether they learned card tricks or not, Dave Franco(actor playing Jack Wilder) did learn how to perform the trick he did with the card for the scene where they are being searched and he threw the card, caught it on his lips, the tossed it into the crook of his elbow before moving it to his hand and throwing it behind his back. CG was used for the card throw, as the camera followed it in a way that isn't realistic to do, but it was NOT used for the sequence of him being searched and moving the card around. It's the most impressive card trick in the entire sequence and it was 100% legitimate.
Isla Fisher, the actress who played Henley in the first movie, didn’t return for this one because she was pregnant at the time of production.
Unrelated, she actually almost died while filming the first one. In the scene where Henley was submerged in the water tank, her foot got stuck to the bottom of the tank and she actually started to drown but nobody could tell because it was supposed to look like Henley was pretending to drown in the movie. A stunt coordinator noticed at the last second and saved her.
So eric to answer your question a about the plane. You can open a plane door in flight as long as you are under 10,000 ft. Still high enough to kill someone being thrown out, but the plane would not be pressurized
watch dan harmon's rant about these movies, it's too funny
God these movies are cool
Completely unrelated to the movie, but I always forget how insanely different people can look just with a change of hairstyle
I will say, not as good as the first. You don't have as much of a surprise punch like learning mark ruffalo was working with the magicians the entire time. Still good though
