All the shows off these movies never relate to the story rlly except the how to train your dragon series. It fills in gaps in the movies, expands on side characters a TON and has it's own actual good story that is canon. Yall just not gonna have a reason to react to it cuz it would do nothing for youtube lol. (I don't blame yall for that, just recognizing how it works.)

08:40 might i introduce you to The Theorizer's "Dreamworks Mort Theory"? he's still making videos for that series to this day and it is one of the most insane theories i have ever seen...because it's all based on facts and stuff from movies
The first two movies are fun The third one is definitely the best though.

All Hail King Julien is a great and hilarious show. You gotta watch it. It leads directly into the first Madagascar movie and introduces some great characters including villains.
I always hated that old lady, she'll get what's coming to her when her kids leave her in a home and never visit

The Penguins Movie is the BEST movie out of the entire franchise. It is chaos incarnate and nothing really tops a high speed gondola chase. Fight me.
I remember watching it as a kid and hating that they didnt recast the penguins from the tv show to play the penguins in the movie. I guess I didn't actually realize the voice actors from the original trilogy just reprised their roles, and I was just bitter considering how much I loved the show.
That was probably really funny, if someone didn't tell you about it ahead of time.

Those birds that beat Alex were weavers. Common in Africa, and are known for their craft in nest-making. Nests can either look like punching bags or a haystack on a tree. Those little antelope that are used like the rabbits in Open Season are called dik-dik. They're called that because of the alarm sound they make.
Without spoiling the 3rd movie, the gang did try to live in Africa while the penguins left for their Monte Carlo trip but consider that they've lived their whole lives in the zoo so that adjustment would be very hard especially for Alex since he's a performer and that's not very useful while in Africa

The lore for mort is more wild than you could possibly imagine. I'll list a few of the things here.He's part starfish and can regrow limbs
He has so many split personalities that he is his own grandmother
He's essentially an eldritch abomination that is decades if not centuries old

I absolutely love these movies!! It's so sad that the guy who played Alex's dad passed away after they made this. They were gonna include him in the 3rd movie but they decided not to recast him out of respect for the late voice actor.
