Brave is one of my favourite Disney movies, Scotland plus Highland mythology, Wisp's are one of my favourite Sith (faerie), tricksters who can be helpful, if they feel like it. Wreck It Ralph 1 and 2 are super worth the watch. Also Big Hero 6 kinda got a pseudo-sequel through Kingdom Hearts 3. Same with Monsters Inc.
See I really like brave I think both the mum and Merida grow because neither of them listen to each other at the start but they learn from each other. But I am happy when people realise Merida is also at fault and it’s not just the mum because she should’ve never said some of the things she said and she should’ve never gone to a witch to ‘change her mum’ and the fact that when the mum is sick she doesn’t even worry that she might be killing her mum she just wants to know if she’s changed her mind about the marriage stuff. Like she did not care about her mum at all and it shows. Then when she realised how much her mum does for her and how much she’d actually miss her she finally got her back. That’s powerful.
Now that you guys have done Tangled, How to Train your Dragon, and Brave, you need to react to Rise of the Guardians. The four movies were grouped together into one during 2012. I remember it being really big at my middle school.
Though I think you should Tangled the series to the list (and if you watch Big Hero 6 - you could also add the Big Hero 6 series as well) no pressure, just food for thought

I have never seen Wreck it Ralph but I would love to watch it for the first time with you. My husband said he loved it and was surprised that I had never seen it.
Brave for me is one of those movies where I can watch over and over and not be too bored by the 5th rewatch of the year. One thing I noticed by watching the movie here is that throughout the movie Merida was wearing a blue dress while her mum wore green but in the end the mum was wearing a flowing blue dress while she wore a green dress to show the change and exceptanse for one another. Its nice
there has never been a Brave Two because the marketing department failed it. This movie did not do well in theaters. They advertised this movie as more of an action movie about a Scottish war instead of an emotional drama centered around a mother-and-daughter relationship. So despite how great this movie is, people left disappointed because it wasn't the movie they'd been promised. IDK why they decided to advertise a story that the movie most certainly wasn't but it killed any possibility for more of Merida's story.
If you like the bear concept and music, I would recommend Brother Bear. Super underrated, with great music, setting, and action scenes. I personally feel it is slightly better than Brave, but that is my opinion. Also, I love the new setup; it sounds like you guys are moving to be closer together in Texas, which is cool. Stay warm. I am in San Antonio before I leave for College, and it is chilly outside.
Definitely recommend you guys to see the Kingsman movie, watch Lion King 1 1/2 and Lion King 2 (good sequels), Aladin 3, Brother Bear, Reck it Ralph, Dinasour (the 2000 movie), Treasure Planet, and Atlantis. Can't wait to see what you guys watch next.
This movie was good, & I am surprised I caught myself crying a bit at the end. It has good music, the animation is good, and the VAs did an amazing job. I always felt the bear plot didn't help the story as much as it could have. The ending is nice, but I felt the movie needed more. There is a YouTuber who explains why the conflict between Eleanor and Merida doesn't mesh well with the bear plot. He breaks down the speech that Merida gives at the end about not wanting to marry and how some words lean one way and the other a different way. Really good video I will just have to find the person. But the MOST IMPORTANT PART is that the original director was a woman who was telling a story about a mother and daughter; however, due to some creative differences, she was let go and replaced with a male director. The movie was fine, and I don't blame the male director, but to me, the story of mother and daughter wasn't fleshed out enough or was forgotten because the new guy didn't have that experience. IF the original director stayed, I think we could have had a much better and richer story of mother and daughter, making me sad not to see her vision follow through.
Great reaction. Yes watch Reck it Ralph, such a good movie. I would not recommend the 2nd one bc it ruins the main characters, in my opinion. The scene of all the princesses in the room is from Reck it Ralph 2. This movie was catered more towards girls. This was a huge deal bc Disney had already bought Pixar & this was the first time Disney allowed another studio to make a Disney Princess or at least tell the story of a Disney Princess. Unfortunately, it wasn't as successful as other princesses, so Disney hasn't allowed them or anyone else to make/tell a Disney Prince's story/movie. So a sequel will most likely won't happen.

Been so busy haven’t been able to watch this new format but I like it, heightens the chemistry of the crew. The audio is a bit difficult rn (action scenes/music overpower the commentary) but I know it’s just a matter of y’all needing time to set up. Otherwise I’m excited to see how y’all set up the space to match y’alls vibe!

I know it's easy to hate Eleanor for how she treats Merida and for burning the bow but you gotta see it from her point of view. Merida just ripped probably months to years worth of tapestry making. I'd be mad as hell too and probably do something like burn their stuff in a fit of anger.
Yes, Eleanor can get mad at Merida for breaking something she has worked on for a long time. But the most important point is what Merida said and did symbolically—they both were arguing, and Merida said that she would never be like her mother even if it cost her her life. Merida then slashed the tapestry, showing her rage towards her mother while symbolically separating her mother to be by herself. It's like burning a Christmas tree when someone loves Christmas, decorating, and celebrating time with family. Symbolically, you destroyed something that was a part of them. To Eleanor, her family and kingdom mean everything, so when Merida tore through it, it was like an insult to her. Saying she was not needed, loved, or wanted.

I love brave! I’d say it’s pretty underrated among Disney films but it’s a genuinely moving story and I really connect with it
