I randomly watched this a few months ago and enjoyed it well enough. Pleasantly surprised to see it getting covered!
Nothing "Low Key" about the Holy Roman Empire/Catholic Church and what they did to the Templars after they crusaded in the name of the Vatican and as a biproduct amassed tremendous wealth and notoriety. They created a story of the Templars practicing black magic, this is the origin of the
"Baphomet" character that everyone today loves to think is somehow connected to Satan worship. The Baphomet was literally made up by the Catholic Church using iconography taken from some random Templar notes that all signs point to actually referring to Allah and the Muslim faith, as most of them spent a very large chunk of their lives living and fighting amongst practitioners of Islam which they either adopted themselves or gained knowledge of before bringing it back home with them all across Europe and the UK. The Church then used this made-up claim to hunt down, torture and execute the Templars, not because of their accused crimes but because they were wealthy, powerful and disenchanted with the Catholic Church after slaughtering their way across the Holy Land in the name of the Vatican for decades. The Vatican's extermination of the Templars are where we get the superstition that "Friday the 13th" is unlucky...as a coordinated mass ambush and assassination of the Templars was carried out in the name of the Catholic church.

Funny enough I liked this movie a bit more on the second watch. It's not amazing by all means but it's got a decent lore at least, definitely better found footage films out there
NGL, not a fan of this movie, binged a bunch of trash horror movies back in college and walked away fuming from this one because that final scene you can legit see the zippers on the costumes but...saw the thumbnail to this and that it's a Sean solo reaction and come on...gotta check it out. We simpin out here. Ten mins in and the movie is already gross, her character is so boring, rich girl with a complex who thinks she can do whatever she wants, it's all the negative qualities of lara croft with none of the charm
I swear there was a cut of this movie where only she makes it, but then again its been awile
