O. M. G. For real!!! I'm watching this show with you for the first time, and this has easily become my favorite episode. Lance Bass as the entire boy band has given me 1up life points.
I was so surprised at first that he was in it, then the plot happened and the flippin manager walked in. It makes total sense.
Every pop band member from back in the day had the same feelings about the industry and how they treated the singers. It unfortunately wasn't actually too far off what they satirized in the episode. A lot of them had actual talent and were used in some of the worst ways possible. Many became more or less charactcatures of themselves.
The manager is based on Lou Pearlman, more or less the absolute WORST abuser in the industry at the time.
I will admit that I am indeed that one friend with zero coordination.
I Appreciate The Side Commentary. I'm Open For Stories
3 minutes in, and I'll be the first to point out that the band is voiced by Lance Bass from N'Sync. Also, the ending cypher is a reference to Alex Hirsch's Sister, Ariel Hirsch, who had a huge thing for Boy Bands when they were kids.
Now watch, I'm gonna watch the rest of this video and some part of this comment (that cannot be edited or deleted) is going to become pointless.
Love the reaction
