Okay, so... the rule about what happens when you "lose" your godparents is incredibly inconsistent (as are most rules in this series,) but for "The Switch Glitch" specifically, I'll offer a potential loophole: A godchild can't "reveal" their godparents to another human, but if that human already knew about the godparents before the godchild had them, then that doesn't "reveal" anything, does it?

Well, there is, but I don't think they ever "instated" it until Season 6.
Also we are never told when that rule was made and since they are in the middle ages they could have been in a time before it was added to the rules.
