   I thought they established that Gwen's "magic" was now actually pure energy from being an alien, so why are her abilities being affected by charmcaster

   When are they gonna watch the live-action movies? They both are part of the story in Ultimate Alien.

      Depends on whether they're able to have fun with bad movies because there's no sense in them slogging through both of them just for the relevent plot info.

   12:40 Boom is right on the money, the writers were basically mandated to try to recapture the vibe of OG Ben 10, and it didn’t mesh very well with their vision of what Alien Force was supposed to be. It takes the show a bit to readjust and in my opinion hits its stride again in Omniverse, although many fans like the next batch of Alien Force episodes and a fair bit of Ultimate Alien

   Everyone was upset about magic being turned into aliens, so from this point on it’s been retconned. Magic exists, it’s powered by mana, Gwen just happens to be made of it, which is why she could always use magic as a kid, and now she’ll use actual spells again sometimes because pink lantern was getting kind of old.

      I think it might’ve been the right move having Gwen’s Magic tie into aliens. It would’ve felt like an entirely different show if they tried expanding on it without that, but that’s just my opinion.

         Oh it’s fine that GWEN’S magic comes from aliens, but before this episode it seemed like in the Alien Force continuity that ALL magic was just aliens, also it wasn’t magic, AND it would run exclusively on Lantern Corps power rules from now on.

         This first taste of Gwen’s terribly pronounced Latin is our first indication that genuine Spell-spells are still a thing.

   can not wait for the next batch of episodes because the 1 2 3 punch of ghost town, busy box, and con of Rath is so good. of course after that is Primis but 3/4 great eps makes up for the 1 hellish form of punishment
