I think it's amazing that they go from objectively the "worst" episode of the show. To one of the best episodes, back to back
This is one of my absolute favorite episodes of the series, mainly because it aired on my birthday but also because we finally get backstory not just for Aang but Zuko too, at the same time! We also get to see Azula for the first time and we see how ruthless Ozai is even towards his own son. Plus I love how it came full circle at the end with Aang creating that air bubble underwater like he tried to do when he ran away and got trapped in the iceberg, only this time it wasn't in freezing waters so he actually succeeded. The storytelling in this show is phenomenal. I'm so glad Avatar Studios is a thing so we get new stuff over the next few years. Avatar is now a timeless classic.
