Bri, even my grandmother likes Anime, trust me there is always something for someone! it's like saying you don't like movies. there is definitely a movie or two you'd like! my grandmother's favorite is Fulmetal Alchemist (and mine too), I would honestly be so happy if you all showed her that one as well!
I would've expected them to show her something like Komi can't communicate
AOT is a bit extreme for a sorta first anime. She's also wearing a pokemon shirt...which is anime. Albeit one of the most American styled in recent years. Whatever aspect Bri likes about Glee, there's an anime to match it.
Any time someone brings up the AoT animation arguments, I just say they're both better than whoever did Seven Deadly Sins Season 3... I'll never forgive nor forget that travesty.

Aw, I love watching the first episode reactions to AOT but I'm more of a sub viewer. I just like the Japanese voice actors most of the time, especially Eren's in certain episodes, his voice in the sub does really nice work. I can't ever take the dub seriously (my only exceptions were Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood and Ouran Highschool Host Club) but I hope you guys have fun with this!

I probably would've went with "Ouran High School Host Club" or "Noragami" but that's just my go-to.
If you watch it, I'll watch with you at the end because I stopped after they swapped studios and just haven't binged it yet.

I get that the first couple of episodes can be pretty intense and bloody, but it gets even better as the story progresses. The plot really starts to unfold after the initial episodes, and there's so much depth to the characters and the world they live in. The action scenes are balanced with a lot of emotional and thought-provoking moments. Plus, you'll find that the bloodiness has a purpose—it adds to the gravity of their situation and the stakes they're up against. Please try a few more episodes Bree! It's really good!!
I would enjoy watching you guys react to the rest of the series even without bree. just you guys rewatching together talking about it and catching the foreshadowing. you also wouldn't have to avoid comments the same way

As someone that's seen both sub and dub I would like to see how much more they catch in the show and what they think of the voice acting. Especially the commanders VA

Honestly because of the shitty release schedule of the show, I didn't even watch the finale because I completely forgot what even happened in the last episode and I didn't feel like rewatching the whole thing again to remember cuz there were other stuff I wanted to watch, so watching it again with y'all it's a good excuse of rewatching the show, and the finale if you get to that point
Love that you guys are experiencing the dub for the first time. Dubbed and subbed are both so good for this. Also I get chills every time I watch this. And it’s like every time you rewatch it you pick up on more and more small details foreshadowing the future of the series.

Hey, I just wanted to give you all a heads up. Be sure to watch the Blu-Ray/Uncut version of this and any other anime series you watch in the future. The reason I recommend this is because a lot of times, anime studios will take the opportunity to make corrections in the animations following the home release. Sometimes they’ll even remove any censorships that were in the original episodes. A lot of fans will agree, the Blu Ray/Uncut version looks much better than when they initially aired on TV. That’s actually a common practice in a lot of modern-day anime series. Some examples include Dragon Ball Super, One-Punch Man, Mob Psycho 100, My Hero Academia, Black Clover, Fire Force, Dr. Stone, etc.
