Today might be a good day to mention that Alfred was in the SAS
One thing I love about this movie is how it represents Damian. We're shown time and time again that Damian is extremely insecure about his relationship to his father. He constantly brings up being the "blood" son because to him it might be the only connection he has to Bruce.
You can see that he clearly years for his father's love but doesn't fully believe it's unconditional, and Bruce's actions give Damien enough doubt to believe that. Damien was an "accidental" pregnancy that Bruce hade no idea existed and was sprung upon him. Bruce not claiming him publicly, referring to him as his "ward", and clearly not fully trusting him have definitely hurt Damien's feelings. Although Bruce does have a good reason for why he did what he did, to a 10 year old boy its easy to feel like you're unwanted
Damian's issues in this film is understandable. I just wish they change up some of the line delivery with his back talk here so that the character could be a bit more likable ?.

Nightwing was talking to his lover on the phone, calls her "Kori", which, they only ever touch on in once in the late seasons of Teen Titans, Starfire's actual Tamaranian name is "Koriander" (like the spice lol), which she says roughly translates to "Star" and "Fire", and which conveniently becomes Kori Anders as a secret identity name, similiar to M'gann M'orzz becoming Megan Morse and J'onn J'onzz becoming John Jones for the Martians.
Also, we saw her face on the phone screen covered up by an alert message, and woman with red hair and a skin tone which should be impossible for a ginger to have
DAM, you guys touch on but yea Dick and Damien relationship is so better in the comics.
Dick was Damien's first batman he ever got to work with, and they both had to grow in to their new roles together.

In the comics Damien and Dick are really close, and the Court of Owls are a Dick Grayson villains. Of course Dick was Batman at the time and Damien was his Robin.
Oh slight correction, they were written while Dick was Batman but their story didn't come out until after the Flashpoint reboot and Dick Grayson was Nightwing again. So in officially released comics they are Bruce villains originally

Yeah, in the comics he even has his own evil version of Robin called "Talon".
the court of owls was specifically a story arc that was tied greatly to dick (nightwing) if i remember correctly. the main talon was one of dick's ancestors, and the night of dick parents deaths, dick was apparently (?) going to be sold (by the circus, not his parents) to the court of owls to become a new talon. his parents, however, died and he was taken in by bruce.
the story changes but usually it always involves dick, so its really odd to give this story specifically to damian. i'm assuming because a lot of the other story beats with damian either involve bruce being dead (believed dead) and its a plot with nightwing, who becomes batman- or its a plot with either jason or tim, who dont exist in this universe. so they had to give damian something that didnt feel like a rehash of the previous movie, but also didnt interfere with future plots regarding the teen titans.
