Timmy's parents committed straight insurance fraud with the vase. They got it for a dollar and got a $50,000 insurance policy for it. For the car example, I actually have a classic car that would normally be worth around $20,000 (I got it for $19,000) but because of the condition of the car with mostly original parts, low miles and a nice clean look, I have had it professionally appraised for $48,000 and that is my insurance on it.
