   One of my favorite things about Season 4 is how many episodes revolve around SpongeBob and Patrick's friendship and the conflict that comes with it. Season 4 in general feels alot more emotionally/story-driven than what came before, while still having that SpongeBob charm.

      I don’t know, SpongeBob becomes a whiney unsupportive bitch to Patrick, and Patrick is a show off asshole to SpongeBob. So it becomes unbearable to watch for me every time they fight over dumb reasons and makes me unlike the season four duo

   Is it just me or does season 4 episodes just become more mean spirited. Both spongebob and patrick are either really mean or extremely invasive, especially with squidward. seasons 1-3 squidward would cause most of his own problems which is what made it funny but lately they'd just straight up break into his house and ruin his life. I can't be the only one that thinks this

      The mid seasons have the characters become whiny on a regular basis. While the modern seasons just make them act like zany looney tunes characters.

      (At least the friendships feel more genuine)

      A lot of the personalities have been over exaggerated after the movie.

      What I liked about SpongeBob as a character was that he was a perfectionist that can occasionally be petty. But still had a good heart.

      There are still some modern specials I like but it's unanimously agreed SpongeBob hasn't been the same for a while.

   The fact that the guy came to give the crown to Patrick and not his dad or mom from the royal family implies that his parents or one of them is probably dead. I've never watched episodes beyond this so idk if they ever appear again tbh
