I know this likely won't be seen at this point and that there was a lot of toxicity and issues around Rise that caused it to be dropped, but I cannot stress enough that I think watching the Rise movie would be worth it. I love Rise to death, but can acknowledge it has it's flaws, but a lot of that comes down to the issues they faced from the higher ups preventing them from marking a darker, plot driven and meaningful show. While that doesn't change the final product, the movie managed to avoid a lot of those obstacles and benefited from being a single story they were able to tell at once and they knocked it out of the park. You want to talk about animation? Rise's movie has animation that will be candy for the eye that will give you diabetes. Everything great about rise that were part of the highs you mentioned all get condensed down into this movie and I really hope you guys give it one last shot. It was a send off for that series and one that I think did it justice.
Yeah, rise got fucked by Nickelodeon HARD. Like, it’s absolutely insane how much the executives ruined that show from right after the jump. I LOVE rise, but it’s for all the shit the show wanted and inspired to be. The fact the boys got different ages and personalities and turtles species, and yet they were still the core of their characters. I’ll admit, o went into the show knowing how dope the movie was, so the show was able to be good for me because, and in spite of, the meta shit surrounding it. I legitimately HATE Nickelodeon and its powers at be for so many reasons, and rise is just one of them. Like I love 2012, but watching it back, there was some toxic and weird behavior they pushed that made even the voice actors kinda uncomfortable. Rise did a lot with what it could, and it’s such a bummer it ended the way it did. But I LOVE all the things the tmnt fandom has taught me over the years, especially rise. Multiverse and aus and the ability to like all versions of a series for who and what they are. The movie changed the show and is still so fucking dope to this day

But seriously, the first two live action TMNT movies are still the best TMNT movies to this day, you would LOVE them profusely and if you didn't it's cool, it'd just mean you have no good taste whatsoever ;P
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and it does seem like paramount has plans because they’ve already confirmed a sequel movie is in the works as well as a spin off show. To top it all off, I read yesterday that there’s also gonna be a TMNT video game coming out that’s gonna be set in the same universe as this movie.
There is a Sequel coming it was announced even before this Movie came out.
People talking the 2012 series and The Rise series. Meanwhile the GOAT the 2003-2009 series is my personal favorite and the entire 7 seasons and Movie Special where they have a MULTI-VERSE event. I personally would love to see you guys react to that series.

I think yall will enjoy the 2012 turtles series. Its has a wayyyy better plot than rise. Plus the intro is a banger

God, this movie is so good it makes me wanna get into more tmnt, I will say I DO think the rise tmnt movie is worth checking out at the very least for how phenomenal the 2D animation is, it’s definitely the best that rise has ever been, and I may not be super well versed in other tmnt adaptations but the krang are phenomenal in rise, even if you aren’t down with rise in general there are some incredible moments in the movie I would love to see your reactions too if you guys ever decided to give it a chance
If you're watching all the TMNT movies, they so have that DVD with all 3 early live actions, the 2008 animated one, and the Batman vs TMNT movie.... pretty much everything except the 2 Michael Bay ones. It's a good DVD bundle.
