Okay I know I'm extremely late to watching this and y'all are probably not reading this, but if you are:

The best way to play Budokai together online is definitely using Parsec. If you all get the version of Budokai you prefer and "late it on an emu" if you know what I mean, on PC, you can play local co-op and Parsec basically makes local co-op into online co-op for games.

DragonShortz is from the same people and has some cute slice of life scenarios! The animation is a little different but it's the same abridged characters we love!

It'll be cool if you guys possibly watch certain episodes from either original DBZ or Kai. Don't know how people will feel about that, like goku vs vegeta, goku's first ss transformation, or gohan's ss2 transformation. The gohan vs cell beam struggle is still one of favorite ep.

I'd definitely be down to watch Boom watch Kai. Either from the beginning or starting with the Buu Saga

You could watch some of the TFS video game playthroughs just on your own time for more Vegeta and Krillin goodness.

Lani played the games completely in character for those two. That's how I first watched Deadspace, Outlast, Goat Simulator, and I am Toast! ??

Also their Dumplin' DBZ Xenoverse series, I just remember having a good time.

Just play DBZ Kakarot. It's pretty much EXACTLY how the show went.

And yes, just pick this up at the next arc--there's a lot of comedy in there anyway (Toriyama didn't have an editor to hold him back).

Also after the Tenkaichi series of games, you all should play DB FighterZ (although there’s DBS spoilers for Boom so I’d wait until he watches it).

    The Dramatic Finishes are great

You all really need to watch HFIL. It’s more DBZA goodness. (although it’s original content TFS made)

    It’s great ^^

I'll stay Diamond if you start doing OG Dragon Ball, I started it for this series, you guys are great but DB is my favorite thing you do.

If you guys check out DBZA creator commentary I think it would be pretty enjoyable for the four of you

Budokai Tenkaichi is getting a new 4th game soon, so you guys could wait on that but if you can't Raging Blast 1 and 2 is similar to Budokai Tenkaichi and has online or you could just try an emulator if you want the actual Budokai Tenkaichi experience.

Also I think it would be best to start Kai where DBZA ended just so the events are still fresh on your mind before you come to a decision if you want to go all the way back to the very beginning or not, like og Dragon Ball.

For Kai, starting with the Buu Saga is fine. Your fellow reactors, Definitely Not Definitive, did exactly that, and they've had no issues in the transition.

For future content, if we go more TeamFourStar, I'd recommend either Hellsing or Final Fantasy 7 Machinabridged.

Id watch every reaction if boom started from dragon ball( everything before when the abridged started so it'll be all new)

I am definitely up for you just continuing where you left off for the sake of an easy transition. I kinda feel like starting over would just have you waiting to get back to Buu again.

I'm also going to be a big proponent of OG Dragon Ball here, maybe after Z, which remains my favorite Dragon Ball series to this day. There's a lot more comedy there and more creative fights that rely much more on actual martial arts then who can shoot the biggest beam. Plus, it's really neat seeing how all these characters were originally introduced.

I will always recommend sword art online abridged by something witty.

I would love to see you watch all of Kai but if you start off from Buu ill still watch it. I still hope and want you guys to watch OG DragonBall

You should absolutely start at the beginning of Dragon Ball, then go through Kai. By the time you got to Kai, it'd be less fresh.

An emulator and online coop service like parsec would be the best way.

Also it'd be best to just continue kai where the dbza episodes end.

Really hope Boom and Ruff check out original dragon ball, if not reactions then hopefully on their own time. OG dragon ball has comedy, more adventure, and more actual cool martial arts choreography than just energy battles

1- Ok now on to Hellsing Abridge. Its just as good.

2- Honestly I would rather you guys start with Buu saga then go through the whole DBZ again. Don't get me wrong DBZ is my favorite anime but DBZ is not really known for its writings. Its all about the moments and the hype (Goku turning SSJ for the first time, Gohan going SSJ 2) but since Boom has already seen that I dont think he'll enjoy it much watching it again. Also I unironically think that some moments DBZA did better than the original. One of them being Android 13's speech to Gohan. In the original it makes no sense because 13 gives a much shorter speech and Gohan basically get angry at 13's death but like he has never even interacted with him before, why would that his death be Gohan's breaking point. Here 13 brings up how Gohan's weakness and cowardice will destroy everything he loves. Boom would just be ruining those moments for himself by watching the original.

Gohan's anger stemmed less from his anger at 16's death and more because he realized if an android created for the sole purpose of murder can find appreciation for life and die fighting for it then what was his excuse to let his fear of himself stop him.

So my tier list of what I’d prefer would be

    1. Start from og dragonball and go all the way to super

    2. Start from the buu saga

Honestly, OG Dragon Ball has a world as fun and random as Adventure Time. Of course the story is more structured after the first arc, but I think they're pretty similar
