You know, I can get being mad at Amon and the Equalists wanting a war, but I really can't blame the Equalist mindset at all. Like everyone always talks about what type of bender they'd want to be, but no one ever wishes to be a nonbender because that would suck. It would be like wanting to be one of the Penguin's goons rather than the man himself

Speak for yourself. I've always wanted the skills of Mai or Ty Lee. They were extremely deadly, and that's without even killing anyone.

REALLY hope they see this. When the wolfBat dude says “goodbye avatar” in a weird way they’re actually making fun of the way Avatar was pronounced in the movie, so that movie is CANONICALLY made fun of too ?

Personally Book 2 is my favourite season in this series ngl I just love everything about the ATLA and TLOK franchise.

My only real gripe with Korra is a lot of the love triangle stuff. I just don’t necessarily care for it in TV in general and it does usually bring out the most unlikable parts of a character I guess story wise season two can drag a little tiny bit but I still think the entire show is great. Though if it was made a little bit later, because of certain things you’ll see in the show but they couldn’t do at the time the show was made I think the show would’ve ended better

Wow, I’ve never seen this much genuine comments about people just liking the show in a reaction before! I’ve seen tons of reactions, and none of them have been as negative towards the show as some of these comments. I honestly think the only “bad” part about korra is season two, and even then it’s not as bad as some of these people are making it seem. It even has some pretty good moments too. Goodness the hate for the show in the comments are quite something

yeah, when it comes to the hate comments ruff people usually arent talking about the amon section of the series infact amon is actually widely liked as a villain/character with the arc as a whole being well received its the later arcs... that take a nosedive not like necessarily in terms of story even though for me personally the story gets a little weaker its more so they make characters take actions that feel weird or just nonsensical at times and kind of ruins the buildup the series tries to forcefully create at times.

I've never watched this show due to the reception it got, even after multiple watches of ATLA, but I have to say I'm mad at myself bc I'm enjoying it as much as you guys.

Most of the hate comes from people that stopped at season 2

Yep, except Jinora was ADHD brained when they went to the spirit world and almost got herself killed even though she was supposed to have been more like Katara compared to her siblings. Besides that it was good at building story around the spirit world and how the avatar's role as a bridge between the two worlds since ATLA never really dove into that.

Idk, disagree. I fully agree with most of the critique of season 2. I totally get that people in these comments are defensive because of the wild toxicity from people attacking this whole series, but I'm not a fan of people dismissing any and all critique.

Idk why Ruff is finding it hard to believe that the first fourth of the series isn’t part of the reason people don’t like the series as a whole. Lots of series have nosedives.

I mean, since there is a better season and a better half of the season to come, let them decide how much they'll like the series or not

    2. wynosaurus

Nah, people were hating on this season HARD, it's where you get most of the citations of Korra being "unlikable". And if I'm being honest season 2 isn't that much worse, and season 3 and 4 are just as good, if not better in the case of 3. The real truth is that everything bad about the Legend of Korra has been wildly exaggerated far beyond what could be considered reasonable critique for over a decade.

Disagree. Yes, tons of the people critiquing Korra are incredibly toxic about it, and I don't agree with nearly everything they say. But season 2 feels *very* narratively weak to me, and re-watching the series multiple times hasn't changed my mind on that.

I understand getting defensive because of the aggressive attack on the series and fans of the series. Please don't project that into dismissing any and all critique as exaggerated.

Yeah, quite a lot of people say things like "Korra never learns anything" which is just...factually incorrect.
