This was the first alien that they showed that wasn't clarified. We don't know if this was the first time Ben got the alien or if he had him before. When Ben got wildvine and Cannonbolt, Ben was shocked and mentioned that he had never seen these aliens before, but he doesn't mention anything like that in this episode.
